What is a Letter Subscription Service?

A subscription letter service is a unique monthly delivery program where, over the course of 12 or 6 months, you receive letters at your home. Each letter narrates the experiences of an individual from a distinct historical or modern period.

How do I subscribe?

To subscribe, visit our home page and select from the different letter series offered. Choose the series that interests you the most, provide your mailing information, and complete the payment process. Once your subscription is confirmed, you'll begin receiving your chosen letter series according to the delivery schedule.

Can I subscribe to more than one letter at a time?

You can, but it is recommended to subscribe to only one letter series at a time. The Vintage Courier suggests fully experiencing one subscription before moving on to the next, to fully immerse in and appreciate each unique story and time period.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes, you can cancel the subscription at any time. Either log into the account you created when you subscribed and select cancel or simply email us at letters@thevintagecourier.com or complete the contact form. For more details, see our Refund Policy.

Can I gift a subscription to someone else?

​Yes, you can gift a subscription to a friend or family member. This makes for a unique and thoughtful present, allowing the recipient to enjoy the same engaging and enjoyable experience of receiving monthly letters. 

What types of content are included?

​The service offers more than just letters; it includes various supplemental items such as maps, cards, and illustrations. These materials enhance the storytelling and allow you to immerse yourself in the adventures and lives of people from different times. Each month, the letter included is between 8 and 14 pages long.

Are the letters suitable for a young person to read?

Yes, the letters are suitable for a young person to read. They are designed to be engaging and educational, making them appropriate for readers of various ages. 

How often will I receive letters?

As soon as you subscribe, we will post the first letter within 5 business days. Afterwards, letters are posted on the first Tuesday of every month.

I’ve moved address. How do I update my details?

We would hate for you to miss a letter! Email us at letters@thevintagecourier.com or complete the contact form and let us know your old and new address.

What do I do if I don’t receive my letter?

Sometimes mail can be lost or delayed beyond our control. If it has been three weeks since the first Tuesday of the month, please email us at letters@thevintagecourier.com or complete the contact form. ​We can arrange a replacement letter.

Can I customise the contents of the letters?

Sorry, no. The contents of the letters are pre-determined and cannot be customised. They follow a specific storyline and theme that is consistent for all subscribers.

Is there an option for digital versions of the letters?

​No, there isn't a digital version of the letters available. The service is designed to provide an old-style, physical experience, emphasizing the tangible aspect of receiving and reading traditional letters. If you or the person you gifted the letters to have a vision impairment, stay tuned! We will be having audio versions of the letters released soon.

Can I provide feedback or make suggestions about letter contents?

​Yes, you are welcome to provide feedback or make suggestions about the letter content. The service values subscriber input and considers it vital for enhancing the overall experience.
